The best one

Great interface, great Dev Team, great support. Thanks guys

Missing some critical features

This app is really great, but I’m not giving it 5 stars… It lacks a better control of credit cards, and maybe an option to calculate earnings in savings accounts. Overall, it’s one of the best financial apps I’ve ever used!

I really like this software.

I use MoneyWiz for a period of 3 years on all my gadgets. I also share my info with my wife, and she love it. This version implement some things that solve many problems that I have, like the possibility to group accounts and choose what account I will use to generate my balance. Thanks! a great App!

Very good app

This app is trully useful for your daily life. Very easy to deal with and intuitive.

Well worth its money,

wish for some more options to configure the list view though and not to always have to click on an entry to see its details. Its also kind of slow from time to time.

Paid subscription for online banking

This app is not cheap and online banking requires a subscription - which I found out too late. Also, the UI feels pretty slow and clunky compared to, say, iFinance. Finally, there are no charts that automatically update themselves. The only way to get a chart is to manually generate (or update) a report.

Does not handle common accounts such as Deutsche Bank and Comdirect

In principle this is a great piece of software that works as promised. I would even say that it is the best account management tool around but - and this is a crucial BUT for me - it does neither work with my Deutsche Bank account nor with Comdirect. They also struggle to add further banks because this is done via a third party provider that seems to be very slow in adding support for further banks.

Works pretty well

Lovely app to save all transactions and have a view over your finance. Must-Have for well organised people!

My financial management centre

I have been using MoneyWiz 2 and the previous version for quite a long time now. It helps me to keep track of my cash flow and accounts. I have installed it on all my iPhones and iPads and Macbooks to keep my finances all in sync everywhere. I do not need the automated bank account update, as I prefer to regularly enter my expenses and incomes by hand. Also, I am going to enter different currencies in the near future, as I am going to move abroad for a couple of years. MoneyWiz 2 offers the option to keep track of accounts in different currencies. The reporting system is also quite useful to get a visual overview of my finances.

Greatly improved

An excellent improvement, fast and smart tech support. Why use any other financial app across your Apple platforms? Very happy with this product.

Just as expected…Outstanding software!

I’ve had MoneyWiz 1 for a while and love it. So when this came out I snagged it right away! With all the improvements it’s well worth every penny!!! Great support too! Thank you MoneyWiz!

Very Nice

Nice touchs to old application, not able to use auto bank sync because not supported in my contry but the team was helpful to support me on how to add my Bank. Overall I think it is a very good app, I like the sync feature between iPhone iPad Mac.

Great App

What I like most in this personal finance app is the nice UI and full of functionalities. Among many features, I like the following features most, some of which make differences from other finance apps: 1. It uses envelop budget method, together with nice UI design for budget indicators. 2. It has various cusomized reports which are super nice. If you do not use it, you will not see its usefulness; once you use them, you cannot leave them anymore. Various reports can provide you various analysis from different perspectives. 3. There is a very nice Dashboard, which summarizes key information. Hope to add more widgets there.

NO CANADIAN BANKS

No Canadian banks other than TD (which I do not use) are available on this app. Very disappointed. I’ll be happy to change rating once Canadian banks are added, otherwise I paid $30 for nothing.

How do I get my money back

This app has no Canadian banks and often freezes. Please accept it back and reimburse my money.

Do not buy !

Not even TD appears on the online banking but it does state its avaible on their website. In addition IT IS NOT 30$. If you want to use the online banking you HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA 50$. I’m asking for a reinboursement, don’t buy this piece of ***** app. Its a money grab scheme to ask for an extra 50$ to use an already advertized feature. The app is also unstable ASKING FOR A REIMBROUSEMENT USE MINT.COM INSTEAD, ITS FREE AND IT HAS THE SAME / MORE FEATURE AND A LOT MORE BANKS

Great application for personal finances

I recently switched to this app from Microsoft Money (very old copy!) for my personal finances and I found it extremely well conceived. I have been looking around awhile for a solution to keep all my financial information in one place and MoneyWiz does the job pretty well. It’s very easy to set up and customize for your own needs. Having all your bank and credit card accounts in one place is great, as you can use the app’s reporting page to generate all sort of reports for a quick look at your finances. Additionally you can also generate custom reports for a more in-depth view. I don’t use the online banking option as I prefer to do it manually, but I definetely reccommed this product for anyone who wants to centralize their financial situation quickly and effectively.

Don’t upgrade from version 1 yet.

MoneyWiz 2 was no where near ready for production when shipped and 2.0.3 while it seems to have fixed one extremely annoying bug still is unstable and buggy. Deeply regret upgrading. Also, the transaction entry workflow which was so fast and streamlined in 1 is now clunky and awkward. Not to mention buggy. It might be okay in a few months but right now they’re selling an alpha.

Average

Overall, I prefer iBank (I have version 4 as paying another $70 for v5 was just too much.) I find that iBank is much more capable whereas Moneywiz has a slightly nicer interface—buuuut the interface is geared for ios and suffers for it (it is geared to tap targets rather than mouse targets so you find your mouse going all over the screen to accomplish simple transactions. The Moneywiz GUI is also very rigid and uncustomisable which is very frustrating. iBank’s was much more flexible in regards to alias names for your transactions. I also find that iBank’s importing was much more robust and tolerant at finding duplicate transactions that come in +/- a couple of days from when they are expected in scheduled transactions. If a transaction is a day late/early, Moneywiz has a habit of not linking it to the scheduled transaction so you end up with duplicates, Moneywiz’s reports tool is also slooooooooooooooooow…and the fact that payees can’t be directly associated with a category is such a very 1970’s datasilo approach (relational database anyone?) which means applying changes retrospectively is basically unpaid manual labour individually updating each old entry (select multiple enties you say and do a bulk change……not with this application). I will continue to try it for a few months and see if it grows on me. I won’t be using the online feature. The 400% markup from what they are being charged for the online bank access is just cheeky. Also, no icloud support which is a big negative.
