MoneyWiz 2 - Personal Finance App Reviews

I was very excited about downloading “automatically” the information of my spendings from the bank. But guess what you have to pay extra money per month for that service and you have to request to upload the service of your bank cause mine Scotiablan Canada was not there. Really is better than the version 1 but only in estetic is not worth it to buy the second version. Dont buy it.

I used to use Microsoft Money, as it did everything I needed, but when I made the transition to Mac, I had to find a replacement and MoneyWiz came highly recommended. I haven’t been disappointed since buying version 1 three years ago, and version 2 takes everything that was great about version 1 and makes it even better.

My interest in this was to compare expenses to budget category account. On this score it is sadly lacking. I expected roll up reports by category by time frame. What you get instead is a message saying you are within or over budget. It simply lists the transactions. It functions well as a cheque register if that is what you want.

I’ve been using MoneyWiz since it was launched having tried many others. In my opinion, it’s still the best and has great customer support.

Just the best… iOS apps are just as amazing.

I was previously using Quicken but changed computers to IMac and could not get the same app for the new computer. I tried several other apps but they were not what I wanted. I’m not a reader of manuals so encountered some problems that I would not have encountered had I actually taken the time to go through the manual. I was unable to delete incorrect transactions (because I didn’t read the manual) so I put a comment on their website never expecting to hear anything from them. Well within 12 hours I received an email telling me how to do it. Great customer service. I now know how to work this app properly and I love it. It was also better than quicken in one way. I can put both my US and Cdn accounts in the same app and keep track of everything. With quicken I had to buy the US version and the Cdn version and could not put them on the same computer so this is just so much easier for me. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good banking app.

i would like to be able to print out reports but this program won’t do this.

This app makes it easy to keep the picture of you finances in focus. While I don’t use all the features, it is good to know they are there if I want to “upgrade” to another level. I don’t have to get another app to do and have the frustration of learning a new app and finding out that it doesn’t live up to the claims. It simply WORKS!

I used to keep track of my funds on a Windows machine using Quicken’s Cash Manager. MoneyWiz is less expensive and works really well on the Mac. I purchased the basic program, not the subscription plan, since I input all my transactions manually. Letting apps see my banking information and sharing any financial info online just does not fit with my comfort level. Tech support has responded quickly to the two inquiries I had. There are a few issues with the Dashboard accuracy, but I have not investigated them thoroughly. I do not really need it. The scheduling of transactions is well done. A great app for managing your money and a decent price.

This app continusously disconnects from my financial providers. I have requsted a refund from the company, but they stated Apple was the issuer of the refund. No where is there an option to request a refund from Apple. Please issue a refund to my account. Thank you.

Program works well, but when I had an issue, technical support was quick to the rescue.

I am happy with the current version. Sometimes the handling of Scheduled Transactions is a bit weird. My main gripe is being forced to write ANOTHER review. No way to tell it don’t ask again.

I really like this app. I was using an old Money Works program, which I loved, for many years but it wasn’t compatible with my new PC. I was looking for an app that was similar to Money Works and this one is it. It is very easy to use and set up. This app keeps track of my accounts and lets me know when bills are due. Perfect for the home budgeter!

After having updated Money Wiz, I couldn’t input a password(PIN).

iPhone, iPadとデータ同期できるので便利なのですが、MacのMoney WizでPINが入力できなくなりました。 Ver 2.0.4になってから？ Macでの入力が、iOSでの入力よりも便利だから同期させて使っていたのですが、ここしばらくiOSでしかデータにアクセスできなくなってしまいました。

Each time I try to quit the app, an endless spinning rainbow appears and the app hangs. I need to force quit the app. Uygulamayı kapatmaya çalışınca dönen bir gökkuşağı çıkıyor ve ancak “çıkmaya zorla” komutu ile uygulama kapatılabliyor.

Version 1 was fine for it’s time, but version 2 is a disaster full of bugs, how could you publish such bugged app in the app store? Syncing between 2 Macs doubles categories in example. Also where are these 130+ new features? I can’t find anything new except new app design?? I can’t recomment this app to anyone. It’s a shame that app which has been designed to save your money is waste of money itself..

SilverWiz, have you tested the new app??? Lots of bugs, this is not even a beta version! And of course, once I have updated my data, there is no return to the previous version.
