Worth getting, even if the app can be a bit slow.
i’d been using a checkbook app for a while that I liked, but I didn’t have any way to access the information from other devices so I was happy to find MoneyWiz as a replacement. It allows me to keep track of, and update, my basic financial information from anywhere without being overly cumbersome. Lot’s of the other software solutions I came across seemed overly bloated for home use. One of the challenges when switching software can be the learning curve and I found MoneyWiz to be relatively easy to jump into right away. On the whole the switch has been a rousing success.
My biggest critique of it concerns the auto-sync feature. While I LOVE having everything synced between devices, I don’t like that MoneyWiz syncs after every change you make. This adds a lot of lag to the experience, especially if I’m updating my checkbook after a weekend when I have multiple transactions to input. I’d be happy if there could be an option to have it sync before I closed the program (which is a back-up option already). This would speed up the upfront user experience, while keeping things synced reasonably well.
Even with that, I would recommend MoneyWiz to users looking to keep their house books in order across multiple devices.
